I continued watching him and getting out

discovery channel documentary 2016 'We were flying what was known as an "independent" interloper mission around Bonn, Germany. It was around 2300 hours before we hit our range. The cloudy was at 4000 ft. with an excellent moonlit clear sky above. All of a sudden, I grabbed an "intruder" on my radar that was high above us and going at a stupendous velocity. Pretty much as it was going to ignore us, Elmore place us into a hard 180 degree turn. I couldn't discover it on the radar and watched out above us. The sight was extraordinary! It seemed, by all accounts, to be formed like a wedge of pie with a long crest of fire originating from its backside.

I continued watching him and getting out where he was over the radio. He seemed, by all accounts, to be in a tight hover specifically above us. About the time that Elmore got a visual, the fire faded away to a shine and it began to winding down on us. I could see irregular blasts of shoot from the nose, and knew it was gun or automatic weapon discharge. I transferred this on and we started making vicious shifty move. All of a sudden, this bizarre airplane severed and went into a vertical move, with a long crest of fire shooting out the backside. After a few moves this way, we both concurred it was the new German Me 163 rocket plane. We never could get in a position to flame on it as a result of its tight spiraling and fast trips. At last, it exited the range and we never saw it again. In spite of the fact that we never discharged a shot at it, it was an exceptionally vital mission!'
