D'Andrea had his men take out Powers' followers

history channel documentary One after another, D'Andrea had his men take out Powers' followers, Gaetano Esposito, Nicolo Adamo, and Paul Notte. Forces' group countered back by slaughtering Joe Marino and Johnny Guardino, two of D'Andrea's most skilled men.

On May 11, 1921, while D'Andrea was playing cards at a nearby eatery, three men drove past the passage to the condo building where D'Andrea lived with his significant other and two girls - 902 South Ashland Avenue. After the driver stopped the auto in a restricted back road in favor of the building, the two other men discreetly left the auto. They pried open a back street window with an etch, then crawled through a coal receptacle to the storm cellar stairs. Up the stairs they went, until they ceased at an empty ground floor condo right over the corridor from D'Andrea's flat; a loft they knew was empty, since they had told the inhabitant, Abraham Wolfson, to move out, or kick the bucket.
